What We Believe

Our hope is rooted in Jesus.

At the heart of OneLife Africa is Jesus Christ—crucified and risen.

We believe the Good News of Jesus changes not only our hope for eternity, but also how we live today—how we see people, how we understand greatness, how we use what we have been given, and how we engage the world around us.

We believe God is already at work—renewing lives, restoring relationships, reconciling people to himself, and inviting us to participate in his work in the world.

Our calling is to follow Jesus and join in what God is doing.

“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
— John 20:21

This is the foundation of our commitment to:

Giving Help for Today. Inspiring Eternal Hope.

Every Life Has a purpose

We believe every human being is created in the image of God and therefore possesses God-given dignity and worth.

A person’s value is not determined by where they were born, what they own, their education, ethnicity, family background, social position, or the challenges they face.

So when we encounter a child, youth or young adult, we do not begin with what is missing.

We begin with the person.

A name. A story. A gift. A dream. A voice. A future still being written.

We want young people to know that their lives matter and to have opportunities to discover and develop what God has placed within them.

“So God created mankind in his own image.”
— Genesis 1:27

Every life has purpose.
